Being able to lie back and fall asleep on your own couch is a beautiful experience shared by many.
The Medlift 5555-Series Sleeper/Recliner is one of the most comfortable chairs to fall asleep in while also assisting you when you need to stand up from your chair.
The 5555-Series is similar to its 5500-Series counterpart, except this chair is not only able to recline to an angle comfortable enough to watch TV or read, but it can also recline to a "full-sleeping" position. This allows you to be in the most comfortable position possible to either rest for a few minutes for fall asleep for a few hours. When you're ready to get back on your feet, just push a single button and feel the 5555 gently push you upward, forward, and in position to get you moving again.
The 5555 also has an additional low-volt quiet motor. The added motor operates the back portion of the chair, offering you the ability to lower the seat to its full sleeping position. When you just want to put your feet up, the other motor kicks into gear and gives you the stress-free feeling of having your feet off the floor.
The Sleeper/Recliner has several standard features available starting with the Chaise Pad, which provides that extra layer of comfort when it is needed the most. A fiber-filled backing and flexible foam seating offer an even more relaxing experience, regardless of how the chair is positioned. Five, no-sag seat springs means the seat itself will be able to last for a very long time.
Other standard features include a magazine pocket on the right side of the recliner, a battery backup system and armrest and head covers.
The stability and durability of the recliner starts with the frame. Made of kiln-dried hardwood, every piece is bent to shape the chair into the sturdiest position and is fastened by high-grade bolts that go entirely through the wood. Gang nails secure the stress joints for added durability and all major connections are secured with corner blocks.
The recliner is one of the most comfortable around thanks to its new SoftLuxe Seat Cushion System with Coil Max Technology. The system includes high-density, fortified springs encased in fabric. The combination of steel and fabric makes the coils stronger, offering up to 20 percent less breakdown than traditional foam cushions. As a final piece to the base, and extra rail is used across back to keep the recliner straight and square.
Have allergies to certain fibers? Not a problem with the 5555 Sleeper/Recliner. The fiber used in this series is a dustless, odorless, conjugated fiber and helps the backs retain their original shape. The front arm also has extra foam padding.
The Sleeper/Recliner is able to accommodate persons between 5-feet 6-inches and 6-foot, 4-inches tall and can handle up to 375 pounds.
