Pediatric regulators are designed to have lower flow options for children who need oxygen therapy. The Pediatric CGA 870 Oxygen Regulator, by Drive Medical, offers many incremental liter flow settings, while providing a convenient design that includes a barb outlet for easy connection to a cannula with no needed intermediary connection.
The Pediatric CGA 870, as the name implies, connects to CGA 870 valves. It is small in size and has 11 settings to choose from. The maximum setting is at 4 liters per minute, so as to safely deliver oxygen to small lungs. This Drive Medical regulator is adjusted with a simple twist and click of the back end of the regulator. Each click brings you to a different flow amount.
The regulator is easy to attach, however it is advised to make sure the instructions by the gas supplier are followed and that that the cylinder valve is purged of any blockage or debris. The regulator has a bold gauge to read the PSI amount. There are colored areas to know when it is time to change the cylinder. This pediatric oxygen regulator meets or exceeds accuracy standards for ASTM, American National and CGA.
The Pediatric CGA 870 has a limited three year warranty through Drive Medical.
