Overview

Get the most out of clinical training for nurses and other healthcare professionals by using the Gaumard Clinical Chloe™ manikin, a very life-like simulator for advanced patient care. Nasco is a leader in health education and Chloe was designed to provide the ultimate training experience in six fields, such as general patient care, breast palpation, gynecological, CPR, airway, and injections. A variety of exercises can be performed from proper bandaging to more complex nasal and oral tube placement. Clinical Chloe is made to be as life-like as possible with materials to give the most realistic movements and palpation.

Chloe has interchangeable breast inserts for practice on either male or female breasts with one abnormal breast for palpation practice. For GYN training, the realistic vagina and cervix provide exercises in Pap smear and catheterization. There are areas in the arm, thighs, and buttock to administer intramuscular injections and arm and hand sites for IV, IM, and sub-Q techniques.

Using manikins for CPR training is a standard practice and Chloe takes it a step further, offering an unparalleled CPR reproduction with anatomically accurate airway to give chest rises with realistic organs such as heart, lungs, ribs, stomach and liver. The built-in OMNI Code Blue Pack allows for the trainee to monitor compressions and airway ventilation for the most comprehensive experience.

When not in use, Chloe bends and detaches for easy storage. Between each use, make sure to clean the manikin by using Medline micro-Kill + Disinfectant Wipes

Training Functions

General Patient Care:

Students will work with articulating head, jaw, elbows, wrists, knees, and ankles. The skin is soft and realistic with pathways for urethra catheterization and in the ear canal for irrigation. Clinicians will also gain experience with irrigation on transverse colostomy, ileostomy, and suprapubic stomas. Other general patient features include:

• Ulcerated foot

• Eyes with one dilated eye
• Interchangeable male and female organs
• Wig for hair exercises

Breast Palpation:

Students will get life-like feel of a breast with one abnormal-feeling breast.

CPR:

Students will find true-to-life organs and chest-rising capabilities.

• CPR experience using OMNI Code Blue Pack monitors compressions and airway ventilations

Airway:

Students will work with tongue, epiglottis, vocal cords, and esophagus with an accurate airway passage for nasal and oral tube placement. Assessment of airway is achievable with trachea, bronchi, and lungs.

• NG and OG tube feeding and gastric suction

Injection Training:

Students will get extensive injection practice with designates sites.
