Bandages, additionally, can be used to inhibit or absorb bodily fluids from flowing, such as blood, lymph fluid, and exudate. More specifically, bandages are important for the standard treatment of lymphedema, venous hypertension, leg ulceration, cuts and scrapes, among a myriad of other wound care uses. Bandages require regular changing to prevent infections and to maintain their intended purpose.
