Description
3M Steri-Strip Blend Tone Skin Closures are hypoallergenic, latex-free adhesives designed to reduce scarring and infection. These wound closures blend with a variety of skin tones to be more aesthetically pleasing and more discreet. They also are non-reinforced strips making them ideal for gentle closures. Steri strips are sterile to reduce the risk of infection and breathable to promote healing of the skin.
The blend tone wound closures typically stay adhered up to seven days and after 24 hours, you may shower with them. For additional strength and protection from water, a transparent dressing such as a Tegaderm may be applied on top of the strips.
Steri-Strip closures are easy to apply. After cleaning and drying the wound and two or more inches around it, gently place the Steri-Strip across the wound without stretching the strip. Apply more strips as necessary. Additional strips may be applied parallel to the wound to help secure the primary strips.
