Millennial Medical In-Motion Forearm Crutch
In-Motion Forearm Crutches from Millennial Medical have an innovative design to meet the needs of mobility patients. These ergonomically designed Crutches have a handle that offer a natural grip, where the third metacarpal bone aligns with the radius bone of the arm. The handle is angled at approximately 24 degrees, reducing stress to joints and muscles. With the a fully molded cuff design there are not any irritating rivet heads or external hinges. The "V-design" allows for easy entry and comfortable hands-free use.

Love Them
By: Nana S
(Posted on 9/26/12)Product Rating These are so comfortable to use. Someone wrote that he thought that users with balance issues might have trouble. I haven't fallen since I got them.

Good
By: Alan Waterstreet
(Posted on 8/20/12)Product Rating Good but needs a adjustable hand grip and stronger forarm carrier. . The ergo grip is too vertical to be comfortable for me. My hand slips off the grip and I lose balance. The forarm carrer lets the crutch fall off my arm at times.Other than that it is a fine crutch.

A very comfortable crutch
By: KMC
(Posted on 7/9/12)Product Rating I really like these crutches, but (I know, buts are bad.....) there is an issue with regards to the height, I am apparently one of the few that is in the "in between" range for the height, (The smalls are suppose to fit up to 5', not so....its more like they fit up to 4'10- 4'11.) I am an inch taller than the small size. I've contacted the company that makes these and they are sending me replacement tubes of the tall. Hopefully these will fit better, other than that, I love these crutches and I am looking forward to using them camping and in my day to day life.

Bad all around
By: djbillyoh
(Posted on 6/24/12)Product Rating I bought a set of these, and it was not only horrible to get used to, the pegs pop out, the cuffs pop out, and the springs are either too soft on one side or too hard on the other. I was assured that the cuffs would NEVER pop out ... then sure enough when i got them, they did almost immediately. (and I'm only 112 pounds) I had to buy another set of crutches after what I thought mid 70's was high... anyway. 1 out of 5 stars, the the one is cause i liked the all black. They looked cool, but that's it.

Went from full size In-Motions to forearm
By: Daapy
(Posted on 6/18/12)Product Rating Having a rare skeletal disease means frequent major orthopedic surgeries. My most recent, in Nov, 2011, caused the pain disorder in my leg (caused initially by surgery done in 2004) to amplify and spread. The increase in pain has made me unabe to bear more than 60% of my weight on my bad leg, which has meant using crutches since surgery. After more than 7 months on crutches, I was getting extremely annoyed with the hassles that come with a full size crutch- dropping them when I went to pick up something, the length is hard to manage in my little car, they're heavy as all get out. So I got clearance from my medical team and decided to switch from my full size In-Motion crutches to forearm In-Motions.
Just like my full size In-Motions, these are much kinder to my hands, arms, shoulders, and neck than a standard crutch could ever dream of being. (I've spent a total of over 18 months on classic wooden crutches in the last 8 years.) The forearm version allows me to do things like reach out and turn a door knob without dropping my crutch- very handy. My only problem AI the forearm crutches is that the angle of the crutch from the handle up causes my hand to end up sliding down the handle, until my hand is forced to grip a section of the handle that is bigger around than is comfortable for me. I'm planning on trying outa pad for the cuff that is much thicker in the center, so when my arm goes back with the motion of walking, it doesn't go quite as far back. In theory, this will keep my hands from sliding down the handles, thus eliminating the discomfort.
In-Motions rock for anyone who will be using a crutch long term. My years of crutch use, many of which were spent carrying an extremely heavy backpack around a hilly college campus, have caused Carpal Tunnel, Cubital Tunnel, and Thoraic Outlet Syndromes, in addition to Degenerative Disc Disease. Thankfully, PT and anti-inflammatories have made those things much more manageable, but I feel crutches like the In-Motions from the get go would have saved me a lot of pain.
I frequently recommend In-Motions for people with back, shoulder, neck, or arm problems, or for people who will be crutches for a very long time. HOWEVER, I don't feel they are the most stable option if you are fully non-weight bearing on one leg (temporarily) or if you have never used crutches before. This is based off of watching dozens of people try out my crutches, in a variety of ways. (I'm the first one at both PT centers I go to have them.) -
Great response as I walk, but ergonomical grips are uncomfortable
By: Never say never
(Posted on 6/18/12)Product Rating I have used crutches since 2003 and my grips have been ergonomical. These grips are uncomfortable, although they, too, are ergonomically correct. The crutches are much easier to use with the springs and flexible tips. They are a bit heavier than my original crutches; however, this difference was easy to overcome.

Excellent service, comfortable orthotic grip, nice paint, configuration of cuff is nearly unuseable, spring assembly emits loud 'grunge!' noise with each step.
By: I don't have a nickname.
(Posted on 6/3/12)Product Rating So glad you asked! I'm very pleased with the immediacy of response to my order; the crutches were delivered within 3 days of my online order. I'm 6'5" tall, and weigh around 270, and like the fit of the sticks for tall and heavy people. Don't care for the spring mechanism; it emits a loud 'grunge!' sound with each step, which is distracting to others in the immediate area. The molded idea for the cuffs is great, but their front opening is too narrow for comfort and ease of use - the thick tips prevent easy insertion of my forearm from the front, and force a top entry, which isnt always the easiest way to get underweigh. Overall, a pretty good product; the extra tips, which I didn't know I was ordering but had to pay for anyway, are too small to be useful when walking in soft or loose soil, okay on paved areas. The listing above, shows a cost of $76.75, but my bill came to $93.00. . .

Good product
By: Lar39
(Posted on 3/1/12)Product Rating Purchased a second pair of these crutches so I could have a "Sunday go to Church set", and my first set is now my "everyday beat em up set". They keep me upright and that is all I ask of them. Easy to use.

Patience wearing thin.
By: The forgotten customer
(Posted on 11/30/11)Product Rating I wish I was able to give a review for the Millennium Medical forearm crutches that i ordered from Vitality Medical back in late October, and which was supposed to have been delivered in 5-7 days, but unfortunately, here we are a month later and I have still not received my order. So..... The wait continues.

Disappointed
By: Carlita
(Posted on 11/17/11)Product Rating I still have not receive it. I have called 4 times to customer service someone different each time. Each one telling me that they pride themselves on customer service. The last I heard was that they were get the item from the manufacturer finally last week and would be shipping it out. No word, and no product yet.

Easier and more convenient to use than underarm crutches.
By: Jodi
(Posted on 8/19/11)Product Rating For a country that is so advanced, I cannot understand why antiquated underarm crutches are still predominately used in the United States. When I broke my ankle, the first thing I did was to look for forearm crutches. I was pleasantly surprised with how far forearm crutches have advanced with respect to the shock absorbent features. I have had problems with the ergonomic handles because they have exacerbated the arthritis in my thumb joints, but for someone without my arthritic issues, I would highly recommend these crutches . They are compact, comfortable, and easy to use. The movable forearm cuffs allow me to use my hands (e.g., opening door handles), without having to put down and then pick up and adjust myself to the crutches before resuming my actions.

Excellent except for the positioning of t he hand grips.
By: Paul
(Posted on 8/16/11)Product Rating Crutches very good except the hand grips are not positioned correctly. And evidently almost impossible to remove and reposition.
-
Good product that lives up to its billing.

(Posted on 6/6/11)Product Rating I thought it would include the folding feature. Product description misleading.

In-Motion Forearm Crutch
By: Austin
(Posted on 4/17/11)Product Rating After having knee surgery, I had to wear crutch for months. I shopped online for the most convenient looking crutch and found this one. Very glad that I made the decision to purchase because indeed, my months of recovery became very easy. And I also felt 'normal' even with these!

Medical In-Motion Forearm Crutch Review
By: Mike
(Posted on 4/13/11)Product Rating I was a victim of a car accident. It made me have crutch for a month and it could have been horrible. However with the help from this forearm crutch, it was better than I thought it would be. It's really convenient and effective. Also makes less noise than other crutches from different brands. Thank you.
