A strong, sturdy care bed that has the ability to do just about anything is important for home health care. Drive Medical's Primus PrimeCare Low Hospital Model 301 Bed provides all the flexibility needed while being able to provide support for a person at the same time.
The Prime Medical Full Electric Hospital Bed starts with a smooth, quiet operational and easy-to-use handle for adjusting the height and positioning of the head and foot board of the bed. This helps put the patient in proper position, making them easily accessible for the caregiver. The pendant mounts to the bed for quick and easy access later as well. If there's an edema on the lower leg area, a foot ratchet can elevate the foot for more comfort. Four locking casters with two wheels each allow you to take the bed anywhere and lock it in place when you've reached your destination. An adjustable wall-saver prevents damage by creating enough distance between the wall and the bed as well.
The frame is constructed of heavy-duty steel with a no-sag slack deck construction. The strong base provides plenty of support, strength and durability along with heavy mattress support that's easy to clean at any time. Bars and rails are available as accessories and can help get a patient or yourself in and out of the bed whenever necessary.
The Primus bed has a lot of length to handle taller persons. At 80 inches it can easily and comfortably handle a patient up to 6-feet, 6-inches tall. It's also able to support up to 450 pounds. The width of the bed starts at 35 inches and there is an optional extender available that will stretch the bed to 42 inches. Height adjustments allow the caretaker or medical professional to adjust the bed between 8 and 26 inches from the floor.
Available Headboards and Footboards must be purchased separately.
