Biatain Silicone Lite Foam Dressings

Biatain® Silicone Lite by Coloplast is an ultra flexible dressing available in three sizes especially designed to bend when protecting regions around the joint such as the knee, foot and elbow. Silicone Lite facilitates movement during the healing process and with a thin profile; it's less intrusive and bulky.

An important feature of Biatain® is its three-dimensional polymer foam pad that forms to the wound bed as it soaks up exudate in low exuding wounds, ulcers, abrasions or donor sites. The absorbent polyurethane foam is ideal to balance moisture to create an optimal healing environment. Its outer film also prevents moisture and bacteria from entering while releasing moisture vapor at the same to to create optimal healing conditions.

Biatain® Silicone Lite is available for purchase as a single dressing or a box of 10. An added benefit of Silicone Lite is its 3-piece film covering the silicone adhesive. This allows user to uncover sections at a time to prevent damage to the adhesive which can alter its adhesion and ultimately create more waste. This design adds to its cost-effectiveness in addition to its longer wearing time of seven days.

Silicone Lite is designed for low exuding wounds at the last stages of healing. When wound contains high amounts of exudate you may be interested in Biatain Silicone Foam dressing that can manage higher amounts of exudate.
