Consistency is good for Puree diet
I buy these dinners for my sister who has swallowing difficulty due to dysphagia and a torturous esophagus. The texture and taste are fine except for the egg ones, which have a mouth feel of sawdust.
  • convenient and tasty
  • All the food is blended together, it would be nice to have the potatoes separate from the meat

Good stuff
This time I ordered Maple Cinnamon French Toast. It is a little too thick for me to eat so I have had to thin it with warm water and a little butter but I am really enjoying it. The taste is very good. To make it more like a real full breakfast I have some pureed fruit with it and a cappuccino protein drink that I like. It's not quite the breakfast I used to have but it's pretty good. You could mix French toast with some applesauce, put a little whipped cream on top and call it desert.

The other meal that I've had is the turkey with stuffing and green beans. That one was not too thick for me at first but the flavor of sage in it was kind of strong for me so I mixed it with mashed potatoes and put gravy on it and it was really good. Since my condition has gotten worse, it is too thick for me now, so I thin it by adding potato & leek soup which worked great.

I have to say, the turkey dinner is not very pretty. If you are dealing with a reluctant eater, you should definitely dress it up a little with at least some gravy. Some pureed carrots on the side or maybe a bit of cranberry sauce would give it some color besides brown.
