Description
Overview
Nasco Life/form Patient Education Tracheostomy Care Manikins are designed to be realistic to teach medical students and caregivers about tracheostomy care. Nasco created two models for students to gain experience with the complexities of the adult and infant anatomy.
Infant Manikin
The Life/form Infant Tracheostomy Care Manikin provides a full-body anatomical model for students and caregivers to learn the basics of tracheostomy care, including cuff inflation, dressing changes, and cleaning the external tracheal site. It is also useful in play therapy for children with a tracheostomy to work with the manikin to understand and find comfort with their bodies.
The Life/form Adult Tracheostomy Care Manikin features a trachea that branches into the left and right bronchial trees. In addition to basic tracheostomy care, its malleable mouth and jaw create realistic movement with nasal and oral suctioning.
