Curity 7832 Iodoform Gauze 1/2 in x 5 yds Packing Strips - Sterile

Covidien 7832 Curity™ Iodoform 1/2 in. x 5 yds Packing Strips by Covidien is designed especially for wound packing. It's ideal to fill in large wounds and tunneling wounds as well as in wet-to-dry packing. Filling the wound is important when the wound must heal from the inside out. This packing strip measures 15 feet to provide sufficient volume to fully pack a wound. It also is packaged sterile to ensure there is no cross-contamination with the wound.

Iodoform strips are impregnated with a crystalline organic compound of iodine to add antiseptic properties to the gauze. It is also woven creating a fine mesh gauze to minimize the risk of the strip sticking to the wound. The woven 100 percent cotton is still porous to effectively absorb wound exudate or drainage. Its cotton material also is hypoallergenic to be gentle to the skin and wound bed.
