Description

BD Vacutainer Stretch Latex-Free Tourniquet is designed to ensure no latex based allergic reactions occur with its use. This is ideal for facilities that want to remove latex from their products. Also, the packaging is designed for easy dispensing of single tourniquets so you do not need to reuse a tourniquet. These are single patient use, so this tourniquet will help to prevent cross contamination between patients and caregivers.

This tourniquet helps make veins more visible, so that the caregiver has an easier time correctly positioning the needle for injection or sample collecting. You wrap it around the patient's arm, have them flex, and the vein should become clearer to see. It is designed to stretch too, if you need just a little more.

How to use the BD Stretch Tourniquet? Pull the tourniquet away from the box until you see the perforation point. Secure the tourniquet with your hand and gently pull away. Stretch the tourniquet several times to ensure there is flexibility within the rubber. Keep the tourniquet underneath patient's arm, lifting up to create enough pressure. Gently tie the tourniquet into a bow leaving just one bow point underneath the tourniquet, this should secure it in place. When ready to remove the tourniquet simply pull on one end of the tourniquet to release it.
