ProGuide WCL (Wound Contact Layer)

ProGuide Wound Contact Layer (WCL) is a unique 4" x 4" dressing based on Trilaminate Hydrocellular Foam Technology. The dressing is a centrally-located absorbent hydrocellular pad sandwiched between two perforated wound contact layers. ProGuide WCL is indicated for exudate absorption and the management of partial to full-thickness wounds. ProGuide WCL aids in the creation and maintenance of a moist wound environment. Moist wound environments have been established as optimal environments for the management of the wound. ProGuide WCL provides physical separation between the wound and external environments to assist in preventing bacterial contamination of the wound.

Precautions

• Do not use ProGuide WCL with oxidizing agents such as Hypochlorite solutions (e.g. Eusol, Dakins) or hydrogen peroxide, as these can break down the absorbent hydrocellular component of the dressing.


• If reddening or sensitization occur, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
