It also provides an extra layer of cushioning, allowing it to spread out pressure when in a sitting position. The sacrum design has a "tail" feature specifically for wounds in the sacral area just above the gluteus region. This will reduce bunching, lifting, or any other difficulties associated with square or circular bandages.
