The Rheo Dopplex II Handheld Doppler unit combines Bi-directional Doppler with Digital Photoplethysmography (PPG) to make a complete arterial and venous evaluation system Ideal for use in emergency departments, outpatient clinics, GP and leg ulcer clinics, the Huntleigh Healthcare Rheo Dopplex II PPG System can accomplish DVT screening, CVI screening, and ABI measurements. Using Dopplex Reporter Software or the Dopplex Printa II package the Rheo Dopplex II can provide printouts of blood flow waveforms and venous refill curves.
The Rheo Dopplex II offers rapid assessment of overall venous function, detection of venous reflux in specific vessels and differentiation between deep and superficial venous insufficiency.
The Rheo features true separated audio of forward and reverse flow, a built-in metronome, and automatic adjustments for different skin types. Receive records and printouts of venous refill curves and blood flow waveforms with the Dopplex Reporter software or the Dopplex Printa II package. Compatible with all Huntleigh probes (sold separately).
The Bi-directional Doppler allows visualization of blood flow direction during the Cardiac Cycle; this is useful when assessing patients with peripheral vascular disease and detecting the presence of venous reflux.
The gain control on this Dopplex can be used to change the sensitivity of the bi-directional indicators. It is also used to change the height of the blood flow waveforms when printing. This has the advantage that the clinician can review large and clear waveforms from different blood vessels.
The Rheo Dopplex II unit can also be used for assessing Chronic Venous Insufficiency.
Applications include:
The Rheo Dopplex II unit has been clinically proven to be effective in screening patients for the absence of a Deep Vein thrombosis (DVT) in the lower limb.
Clinical studies have shown that Rheo Dopplex II is a reliable Screening tool in patients with suspected lower limb DVT and issuitable for bedside and community based practice.
The Rheo unit is ideal for A&E departments, medical assessment units, GP's, and Leg ulcer clinics.
The Rheo unit provides a useful non-invasive method of scanning for the absence of DVT.
The Rheo Dopplex II handheld unit combines Bi-directional Doppler with Digital Photoplethysmography (PPG) to make a complete arterial and venous evaluation system.
The Doppler modality of the Rheo unit can be used to assess for peripheral vascular disease (PVD). Using the Doppler probe, Systolic Blood Pressure in the arms and ankles can be measured to determine the Ankle Brachial Pressure Index (ABPI). If the ABPI falls between 0.8 and 1.0, some arterial disease is present. If the ABPI is less than 0.5 then severe arterial disease is present.
The Rheo unit can provide low cost assessment for:
