The Deluxe Podus Boot by Posey is a multi-purpose foot boot that helps in the healing and prevention of toe ulcers and protects against foot drop. This Therapy Boot also aids in the treatment of plantar flexion contracture, hip rotation and decubitus heel ulcers.
It has a large heel cavity that effectively isolates the heel and keeps it pressure-free. A polymer splint included with the boot can create flexion of the plantar up to 45-degrees. The Ankle Boot also has a detachable toe post that uses two mounting points to stay in place, and its anti-rotation bar locks in place or stores easily when not in use.
It also has an optional ambulation sole that attaches easily without the use of tools. Optional ankle straps and laundry bags are also available. Special Ortho-Wick liners inside the boot work to keep the wearer's skin dry.
Boot liners are conveniently machine washable.

Product QuestionsI have a question regarding the Posey Deluxe Podus Boot. We need one for my mom who had rip placement surgery and now has a pressure sore on the heal of her surgery foot. A nurse told us to get one, however when I measure her calf and foot, she could fit into either size, compared to your sizing chart below. My question is should we get the larger size in hopes it's not too large for her to walk as she is walking with a Walker, so buy the smaller and hope it fits as her calf and foot are still swollen, any advise would be greatly appreciated, Also second question what are the differences between the sole or No sole. Thanks

Question by: cindy walbridge on Jun 8, 2016 9:39:08 AMHello Mrs. Walbridge: The sizing chart is the best advice we can offer as far as making any sort of recommendation. If there is concern over swelling, the larger size may be the best choice.
To answer your second question: there is a separate sole attachment that goes on the bottom of the boot. You may either order the boot with the attaching sole or without one.Answer by: Shain Gillet (Admin) on Jul 5, 2016 2:15:00 PM
