This Pill Crusher has a flat base to sit on a counter. It is designed with an upper handle and a lower handle with ridges for easy finger placement that creates a firm grip. To use, lift the upper handle and place a 3/4 ounce Souffl?aper Cup containing the medication. It is important to only use paper souffl?ups because plastic will leave plastic slivers behind which will contaminate the medication. When ready to crush the medication lower the handle and lightly squeeze the two handles together. The amount of handle pressure required to crush the pill will vary based on the hardness of the pill. Lift the top handle and remove the cup to add powdered medication to water, juice or food.
