I've had a prostatectomy and have incontinence as an after effect. Supposedly, this will terminate at some time? I was restricted in my activities and was extremely frustrated and depressed. This product is a game changer. I tried 2 other clamps, the Regain and the "J" clamp. Both function, but will slip off if you sit or bend in a certain way. If you make them tighter, well, they hurt. The Cunningham stays on, does not hurt and releases easy. Highly reccomend this product.

I've tried pads,and they work, but for me this a much better idea. It doesn't hurt, in fact I don't even know I'm wearing it. You have to get used to taking it off to pee, or if you're getting a hard-on, but it's still better than a pad you have to change. No more leaking, after I shake the last few drops out, after I've put the clamp on. I even slept with it on and didn't know I forgot to take it off. I also shaved my hair off so it wouldn't pull or get caught and never has. I love this thing, but I guess everyone's different.

This clamp works. You MUST spend time to bend and adjust it to fit you correctly. I am now able to drive, shop, do business without the fear of wetting myself after prostate surgery. The clamp can stick you if you are not careful, but I put a paper towel behind it to stop this problem. I will buy again.

The equipment was better than expected. Not a cheap piece and with a little adjustment can made to work on anyone's equipment.

Bought this product for my uncle. He had a TURP in July 2012 and since has lost bladder control, which had destroyed his self-esteem and limited his activities. The clamp works as advertised. A little difficult initially. There are some problems that happen when you move certain was but they are corrected quickly.

Clamp works very well.I have one question why does the rubber get very sticky after a number of washings.

I purchased this clamp at the request of my mother, for my father(94 y/o). He was very skeptical about using this clamp. He finally agreed to try it, HE LOVES IT! He had fashioned his own clamp (he's an inventer) and was sure this clamp wouldn't match up. We were a bit concerned with his "device" but it did the trick until we came upon the Cunningham clamp. I have been using one for years and it does its job very well once you get it adjusted.

As comfortable as can be expected. Can be adjusted (bent) for maximum or minimum pressure. Also if you tun it over and use it to secure a condom catheter when accidents are not an option.

I hav been using this product for years and years and love it! I take a new clamp and only wear it in the house until I have bent the clamp a little each two or so hours so that it fits and feels just right and and will not leak.In about 3/4 of a day and I have it adjusted to fit perfedt so it feels good and does not leak. It will leak just a little once in a while so I ware a Depends Guards in my Jockey shorts to pick up any leaks. Late in the day may then use another Depends Guard according to how much i leaked durning the day. You do have to center the Clamp just right and it takes practive to center it on corectly. I make sure I have two clamps always "ready to use". I follow instructions on how to keep clean.
I can stand at a urinal in a mens public restroom and know I can put it back on by just pressing down on the clamp until until it connects. I also like this clamp bedause when I go to bed I take it off and place it back on durning the night to use the urinal. Get back in bed and take it off again. I think we deserve better than this. This device hurts and there is potential for permanent injury from shutting off blood circulation. My problem was created by a careless and uncaring Dr protected by laws allowing overly aggressive surgery. He's getting richer, is still crippleing patients, while we, his victims, suffer with incontinence for the rest of our lives. I wish someone would do the same to him.

This is the 1st clamp that I have tried & seems very satisfactory.

Have had pretty good luck with this clamp but was never sure what size I should be using so I just guessed. Picked large maybe regular would have worked but there is no actual dimension listed in the description.

Your person said there is no way to return it for a usable size. The "regular" size is too small even for my little finger. Not only will I not recommend it--but I will communicate my findings to my urology friends.

Excellent product , no more pads.

I HAVE USED THESE QUITE A BIT BUT THE LAST ONE I ORDERED FROM YOU THE BOTTOM FOAM PAD DETERATED TO SOON.....AND DID LAST VERY LONG.............GOOD CLAMP BUT JUST NOT GOOD QUALITY ONE THE ONE I ORDERED.....

The clamp does work well, however, it should be designed in a circular shape, which will prevent it from catching on clothing and interfering with comfort, because it is like wearing a miniature oxen collar. It gets caught on things and makes it difficult, when you want to urinate and try to find it and get it out.
, while you are at the urinal. Perhaps your R&D Department can come up with the design, which I am suggesting.

I've tried pads and briefs but the cunningham clamp has been the best solution to deal with dribble problems. I still use a pad just in case but this has been a god send in dealing with dribble issues and has eliminated the worry of an accident. The cunningham clamp is smaller than most other clamps I've tried and seems to work well. I keep a spare for washing one. The other clamp that I'd recommend is the Gyrx though a little bigger it has a better adjustment and less need to continue to fiddle with.

The clamp is a great supplement to my use of incontinence pads. I really would like to have it in a lager size(X-large)..

I'm going to set aside some time to try it, because its thickness and the potential hard edges look uncomfortable.

It is an effective device but it requires getting adjusted to it. It appears that it would be very uncomfortable but once it is properly adjusted it is acceptable. I'm wondering what will happen at the airport security when a scanner detects it or a TSA person grabs ahold of it!

I ordered the Cunningham for a relative who had never used a clamp. He didn't know how to use it (seems obvious) and complained about lack of instructions.

The considerations are comfort and leak stoppage. None are perfect but the Bard is the best and I've tried them all.

Can you say torture? If you want to smash and deform your penis then I highly recommend this medieval torture device.

The Cunningham clamp is about as good as anything on the market and better than most. I have tried at least seven different products on the market. Each has it's own pro's and con's. I have found the Cunningham the most effective and comfortable for my needs.

very useful for my problem

Incontinence due to Prostate surgery. After 2 years of pads and briefs my doctor advised me to give this a try. What a change only use 1 pad a day and a brief at night. Only use a pad during the day as a caution for possible leaks and most all of the time its dry at the end of the day.. Give it a try if you have not tried before.

The Cunningham Clamp By Bard has been a blessing to me after recurrent
prostate cancer causing incontinence.

I like this clamps, but Bard should sell separate the two foam rubber pads for replacement, some times we only need the pads not the steel device.

Have been using the clamp for 2 weeks now and it has made a great change for me. For 2 and a half years since surgery I have tried every thing the doctors said to try and no luck. On my last Dr. visit I talked to the PA and she asked if I had tried this and when I told her no she gave me prescription to give it a try. What a change from 4 to 5 pads a day to one and that is only a insurance to avoid any possible leaks. It can seem uncomfortable at times but I can put up with that so I don't have to deal with pads and padded undergarments as I was before. If you have not tried this give it a try it will give you back your life.

Once I understood the operation of the release mechanism I was pleased with the simplicity and ease of operation. Unfortunately I had been pressing tighter rather than releasing the spring tension and was afraid that I would end up with "weinie fillet". Fortunately I quickly realized my mistake and was returned to normal without any discomfort.

This clamp has done the trick for me I can now go walking and bike riding with out a wearing a pad.

I had Prostate Gland Cancer and had it removed leaving me with what the Doctor calls Total Incontinence which I will always have without another operation.
The clamp does a fairly good job after I learned how to adjust it on a daily basis

Does not stop my spastic bladder from emptying. Does stop little stuff. As it came, on loosest setting, completely shuts off circulation to penis. Therefore not for sustained use.

Easy to make minor adjustments to fit

I had a stroke which paralyzed my left hand. Using a clamp with only one hand is difficult. I've tried several different clamps. The Bard clamp works well for me.

Works well as intended

Takes a little time to get used to. Feels good to release it every hour or so. It is an effective way to reduce the use of guards.

The spring cushion is that of a poor quality. I end up having to tighten the clamp every now and then to make it work properly.

While this product is the most effective device I've found, significant improvement might be achieved by providing some element of cushioning over the exposed steel parts. If it becomes rotated sideways against the left thigh, it can very uncomfortable.

I have tried similar products and various caths. The Cunningham Clamp by Bard is by far the best. It stops leaking better than other products I have tried and has a couple of methods to adjust the clamp which adds to comfort.

The clamp works very well. Comfortable and no leakage. Make going swimming possible again.

Have been using the clamp for 2 years now and am very satisfied with it, and with Vitality Medical. Prostate surgery and an autoimmune disease that has attacked the nerves and muscles had pretty much taken my life away, but the Cunningham has given my life back. 12 years after prostate removal I finally found a product that works. It's comfortable and easy to use. I still wear a pad, but just a half of one per day instead of 4.

Being a grown up male, it's never easy to use this kind of aid. However, if you have to, then you have no option but to make the best choice. For me, it has been working the best. When my daughter suggested me to try it, honestly I even felt a little offended but not I thank her so much.

When my dad was discharged from the hospital after his prostate operation, he was not very cooperative. Of course, he had to wear diapers so as not to mess his bed, but being the man that he is, he didn't want to. So, I checked online to see what options he have and I found this. I called his doctor to check if this is okay for him and I was given a go signal. I bought it and he is using it until this day, he said it was uncomfortable at first but once he got used to it, it gave him comfort.

I have been using this clamp for over a year now. It's fairly comfortable and easy to use but the lower foam part of the clamp deteriorates rather quickly. i would think that the manufacturer would use a more durable grade of foam. But then they wouldn't sell as many clamps now would they. I have to buy replacement clamps every two months or so and that gets expensive

The clamp has given my 85 year old father a real big boost ! It has made a big difference in his daily basis routine, since it has given him security and freedom!

I originally ordered the 1 inch size and found it was too tight and uncomfortable. I then ordered the 1-2 inch size. I have had better resuls with this.It effectively stops the flow of urine, but I'm unable to wear it too long because it also becomes uncomfortable. The instructions accompanying the clamp don't explain how long it should be used. I did not find the instructions to be useful.

The Cunningham clamp prevents leaking while walking, running, or sitting. It is great to worry about wet spots.

I am a man and don't want to wear a pad. So this is a lot better then pads. I wear the cunningham clamp everyday, you need to make sure not to clamp it too tight and make sure to release it every few hours.
I buy a few at a time and have found this to be the best price.
