This heavy duty frame is unique and has a fully-adjustable design that makes it exceptionally easy to use. This bariatric hospital bed also has one of the highest bariatric weight capacities on the market. It offers a long list of safety and customization features that create an unbeatable combination of advantages for both patients and caregivers. For starters, the deck height of this Low Hospital Bed can adjust between high and low positions. The low position brings the mattress deck to just 18 1/2 inches off the ground. Low models increase safety and comfort for patients with limited mobility by making it easier to get in and out of bed. Weight capacity rating includes the weight of patient/resident and all accessories, including head/foot boards, mattress, side rails, etc.
The PrimePlus Hospital Bed can also adjust by length and width without the need of an extension set. Adjusting the dimensions is quick and easy. The width can adjust between 39, 42, 48 and 54-inch positions. The width adjusts by simply pushing a release button and pulling the frame out. The length adjusts by first removing the footboard and mattress retainers. Ergonomic screw knobs release the footboard and allow it to be pulled out of the frame. Mattress retainers remove from the frame after releasing their retaining pins by hand. Once the footboard and mattress retainers are removed, simply pull or push on the foot end of the frame to adjust its length. View a demonstration video of these functions below.
This Full Electric Hospital Bed comes with a patient control pendant that controls the electronic functions. The bed can raise and lower at the head and at the knees. An optional control lockout is also available.

Bed Rail Options
Folding Padded Side Rails
This PrimePlus bed frame has optionally padded side rails that can be added for patient safety. These rails reduce the risk of falling out of the bed as well as reduce the risk of limb injuries from accidental banging against the safety side rail. They attach and remove easily, and can also adjust to different positions. Please note that the side rails add 2 1/2 inches to the width of each side of the bed.

BARI Trim Design Headboard/Footboard (for PrimePlus Beds)
These headboards and footboards are available in two finish choices--Oak or Figured Mahogany. You also have the option of an Embedded Staff Control already installed in one of the bed ends. Having the Embedded Staff Control gives you Trendelenburg functions with your PrimeCare 2002 Bed. The Embedded Staff control also allows caregivers to easily access the bed controls, usually at the foot of the bed.
