What is the US PRO 2000 portable ultrasound device?
The US PRO 2000 2nd Edition Portable Ultrasound Device is a compact therapeutic ultrasound unit used for noninvasive management of localized pain and muscle spasm. The device delivers pulsed or continuous ultrasound through a handheld applicator, and the output is intended to promote local circulation and gentle deep tissue heating when used on appropriate settings under clinical guidance.
Each unit is supplied with 2.8 ounces of ultrasound conductive gel, an AC/DC wall adapter, and a hard carrying case for storage and transport. The sound head is designed for consistent contact with the skin, and the housing is shaped to allow a steady grip during treatment.
What has changed in the 2nd Edition?
The US PRO 2000 2nd Edition is larger than the US PRO 1000 but remains portable and suitable for home or clinic use. Compared with earlier models, the 2nd Edition adds a head-warming option, a watertight treatment head suitable for underwater applications up to a specified depth, and the ability to operate in either continuous or pulsed mode instead of pulsed mode only.

How to use the US PRO 2000
Warning: Do not operate the ultrasound output until the head-warming cycle has completed or the heating function has been intentionally disabled. If the heating cycle must be restarted, power the unit off and then on again.
- Step 1: Turn the device on by moving the ON/OFF switch to the ON position. Six alternately flashing indicator lights show that the device is in preheat mode. The six lights flash five times when heating is complete (approximately three minutes). To operate without head warming, press the TIME and MODE buttons at the same time to stop the heating process.
- Step 2: Wash and dry the treatment area before applying ultrasound transmission gel.
- Step 3: Apply ultrasound gel generously over the treatment area, covering an area approximately two times the diameter of the sound head.
- Step 4: Press the MODE button to select the desired ultrasound intensity (low, medium, or high) according to the plan of care.
- Step 5: Press the TIME button to select a treatment duration of 5, 10, or 15 minutes. When time and intensity are set, the device is ready for use.
- Step 6: Place the ultrasound head on the treatment area and move it in a slow, circular motion while keeping the head flat against the skin. Cover all parts of the treatment zone for an equal amount of time.
- Step 7: At the end of treatment, switch the ON/OFF control to OFF and disconnect the wall adapter from the outlet.
- Step 8: With the device unplugged, clean the sound head and housing with soft tissue or a damp towel. Do not immerse any part of the device in water or other liquids.
- Step 9: Store the unit in a dry, room-temperature location inside the protective carrying case.
