The Intelect Transport Combo allows for two possible ultrasound frequencies, 1 MHz and 3.3 MHz. These two frequencies can be used in a pulse output or a continuous output. The pulsed duty cycles are 10%, 20% and 50%, while its continuous is 100%. For application, the device comes with a 5 cm2 sound head. There are also 3 different optional sound heads, such as 1 cm2, 2 cm2, and 10 cm2. The sound head is watertight, allowing for any desired underwater therapy. These sound head applicators also have a built in head-warming feature included, and they are easily interchangeable with Electronic Signature, which resides on all transducers.
Not only does the Intelect Transport Combo work for ultrasound therapy, but it also is an effective device for electrotherapy. Electrotherapy is very helpful to those who experience pain because it helps stimulate muscles and nerves. The device has two channels of output and four waveforms available, which are Interferential, Premodulated, High Volt and Russian.
