Procedure Tray Overview
Medline Central Line Dressing Trays with CHG and ChloraPrep contains all the components needed to perform a central line dressing change in a convenient sterile soft pack. The procedure tray is packaged in sequence of use to reduce overhead costs and waste while improving patient care.
A central line refers to an IV line such as a catheter or PICC line. Gauze dressing covers and protects the catheter to lower the risk of infection since it has a direct connection to the bloodstream. The gauze dressing is changed every 48 hours to minimize the risk of infection. Medline Central Line Dressing Change Kits streamline the process with gathering all the necessary products, including an antiseptic ChloraPrep Applicator.
Benefits of ChoraPrep & CHG
This 3 mL applicator uses a powerful skin cleansing solution containing active ingredients chlorhexidine gluconate (2% CHG) and isopropyl alcohol (70%) to effectively kill fungi, viruses, and bacteria.
