Huntleigh Flowtron Hydroven 3 Lymphedema Pump

Flowtron Hydroven 3 is a lightweight compression pump designed for the treatment of a wide variety of vascular or lymphatic conditions including lymphedema, venous insufficiency, venous stasis ulcers, and localized edema following trauma or dependent edema. Medical Compression Therapy pumps assist blood and fluid flow which has been inhibited by impairment or injury. These inflatable sleeves are sold separately with two sleeve types available which are sold separately to fit the leg or arm. The Single Chamber Garments provide uniform compression to the limb and the 3-Chamber Garments offer graduated sequential compression therapy. By applying intermittent compression to a limb via specially designed garments, blood flow is increased and extra-cellular fluid is cleared. Flowtron Hydroven 3 Pump is simple to use with preset cycles and adjustable pressure settings.

Huntleigh also manufactures the Flowtron FPR Compression Pump. Many feel the Flowtron FPR and Hydroven 3 compression pumps are equally effective at treating varying types of lymphedema. Deciding over one or the other is primarily a physician's preference, though many feel they are equally effective. The Flowtron Hydroven 3 Lymphedema Pump System has been ergonomically designed for efficient use in many different situations from the clinic to the home. The controls, indicators, and connectors are simple to use and can be accessed with ease. Thoughtful design features mean the compression pump can be handled, transported and stored safely and easily. Huntleigh Flowtron FPR Compression Pump therapy offers three chamber non-gradient sequential therapy. The Hydroven 3 has a shorter inflate (length of compression time) over the Hydroven FPR and longer deflate time. This provides an equal squeeze compression time (90 seconds) and equal rest period (90 seconds) between inflations. Selecting Garment/Sleeve Size

Simply measure 2" below groin to heel for leg sleeve or 2" below underarm to fingertips for arm sleeve. Inserts can be purchased if your arm or leg circumference is greater than the circumference for your particular length of sleeve. *Note when selecting sleeve length the total sleeve length should never encroach within 1 1/2 inches of your groin or underarm or circulation can be impeded.

If you have the original Flowtron or Flowplus pumps and are concerned you have to replace your whole system. You need not worry. The old garments of the Flowtron and Flowplus pumps will attach to the new Flowtron Hydroven 3 by aid of a converter. The new garments of the Hydroven 3 will also attach to the old Flowtron and Flowplus pumps by aid of a converter.
