These briefs come with a re-fastenable tab so the brief is adjustable to fit comfortably. This can be done by unfastening the tab, which has a second part to it that does not adhere by adhesive but by micro hook-and-loop closure, giving it the capability to close and re-close without wearing out the fastener, unlike other methods of fastening that are made with an adherent.

Application Instructions

 

Application While Standing

1. Open the brief fully.
2. Fold the brief lengthwise in half.
3. Place the brief between the legs of the user with the inner lining towards the skin.
4. Open and lift the back of the brief to align the wetness indicator with the coccyx.
5. Pull the front of the brief up between the legs until the absorbent pad is snug against the perineum.
6. Bend the side panels smooth against each hip.
7. Ensure the front and back of the brief is even at the waist around the user.
8. Gently position the leg gathers in the natural crease of the groin.
9. Fasten the tape tabs while adjusting the panels for patient comfort and for a secure fit.

 

Application While Seated

1. Assist the patient to a standing position.
2. Open the brief fully.
3. Position the brief on the seat with the inner lining facing up.
4. Position the brief so that when the patient sits on the seat the brief will be centered on the patient's body.
5. Seat the patient on the brief.
6. Align the top of the wetness indicator to the coccyx.
7. Bend the side panels smooth against each hip.
8. Ensure the front and back of the brief is even at the waist around the user.
9. Gently position the leg gathers in the natural crease of the groin.
10. Fasten the tape tabs while adjusting the panels for patient comfort and for a secure fit.

 

Application While Reclined

1. Position the patient on their side.
2. Open the brief fully.
3. Fold the brief lengthwise in half.
4. Lay the brief beside the patient aligning the position of the brief with the patient's body.
5. Roll the patient over on to the brief.
6. Pull the front of the brief up between the legs of the user with the inner lining towards the skin.
7. Open and lift the back of the brief to align the wetness indicator with the coccyx.
8. Pull the front of the brief up between the legs until the absorbent pad is snug against the perineum.
9. Bend the side panels smooth against each hip.
10. Ensure the front and back of the brief is even at the waist around the user.
11. Gently position the leg gathers in the natural crease of the groin.
12. Fasten the tape tabs while adjusting the panels for patient comfort and for a secure fit.
