Aspen Vista CTO4 Brace Overview
The Aspen Vista CTO4 Cervical Thoracic Orthosis is a specialized 4-post cervical collar with maximum anterior and posterior support. This provides decreased movement by restricting three planes of motion as the cervico-thoracic spine heals. The brace features the Vista MultiPost Collar that is fully adjustable to fit the neck. It goes a step further using additional supports to limit motion further. Based on the severity of the injury, the physician will opt for additional immobilization using the upgrades of the Vista CTO4. This upgrade includes a posterior strut that connects from the posterior vest to the collar. The strut is height adjustable to work with the patient's torso length and connect to both points. The posterior strut forces the patient to be mindful of trunk posture and restricts movement. This piece is what sets the CTO4 from the Vista CTO model with vest only.
Just like the one-size MultiPost collar, the CTO4 with thoracic and sternal support with strut is fully adjustable to have one universal size. This cuts down on inventory a clinic needs to store and above all, it allows the physician to custom fit the brace to the patient. The vest buttons and collar's dial technology make it simple for physicians to size to get the desired snug fit.
The entire brace is padded for comfort to keep the patient compliant with therapy. The cotton-lined foam pads quickly wick away moisture to keep the patient cool. The foam keeps the skin healthy by redistributing pressure and removing moisture to prevent skin breakdown from extended use. The foam is removable to wash and refreshen padding as needed.
