Aspen Vista MultiPost Cervical Collar Set with Pivoting Occipital Panels

The Aspen Vista MultiPost Therapy Colla Set offers greater motion restriction and support with its specialized occipital panels. Cervical collars are worn by patients who have suffered a traumatic neck or spinal cord injury or have a cervical dislocation or fracture. Immobilizing the neck promotes faster healing and the occipital panels provide optimal restriction. The panels also cradle the back of the head to accommodate all head shapes, limit pressure points, and maximize wearing comfort. The polyurethane foam padding is lined with cotton to allow airflow to protect underlying skin that is prone to breakdown. The foam quickly wicks away moisture and prevents heat buildup so that the skin is not compromised.

Just like Aspen's original Vista Cervical Collar, the MultiPost Collar in the Vista family is also one size and fully customizable to fit individual anatomies. It features the height adjustable Vista Collar with the proprietary dial for height adjustment to get the perfect snug fit every time.

Aspen Vista MultiPost Collar has improved access with its extra-large tracheal aperture when clinicians need to provide airway management. The collar is available for purchase as a single unit. Vista MultiPost Application Instructions

Mold the plastic side pieces and side occipital panels. Start with the first of the six settings available. Line the bottom of the tracheal aperture at the sternal notch and place sides over the trapezius muscles. The chin piece may not line up yet and that is normal. Pull out the dial to unlock and turn it clockwise to raise and position chin rest. When in position, simply release the dial to activate self-lock.

Tightening Procedure

Attach hook and loop strap on each side. Peel loop strap one side at a time while anchoring fingers in the collar. Repeat on both sides to achieve an even fit. Ask the patient if the chin piece is touching or rubbing the throat and adjust if needed by lifting side panels away from the trapezius muscles.
