How To Clean and Disinfect the Lancing Device

Note: Always remove the lancet before cleaning or disinfecting. Do not throw away the cap after each use.

Clean and disinfect the lancing device's surface at least once a week to remove dirt or other material. The Accu-Chek exterior may slightly discolor after multiple cleaning or disinfecting cycles. The discoloring should not affect the lancing device's functionality. Super Sani-Cloth is excellent for cleaning and disinfecting. Use one cloth for cleaning and a separate cloth for disinfecting.

Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water.
Wipe the entire lancing device surface and the inside of the cap.
With a second Sani-Cloth, disinfect the lancing device in the same fashion as step 2.
