What Is the Thumper?
Thumper Sport Percussive Massager is a device designed to knead the body of an active person. Massaging the legs after a tough bike ride or after a long day of standing at work are a few examples of when to use the massager.
Using anatomically designed massage spheres, the Thumper Sport Personal Massager transmits energy into the muscle tissue while matching the muscle's natural healing frequency. The spheres can be switched out for soft or hard massage spheres. The massage instrument's speed control ranges from 20 to 40 pulses per second, which users can adjust to meet their individual needs. The Thumper Massager Sport also has a long handle, so reaching the back isn't difficult. The massager works through clothing.

How to Use the Thumper Sport Massager
After plugging the Thumper Sports Massager into an outlet and turn it on. Hold it by the end of its handle and apply it to the affected area, starting at one of the lower settings. Keep at this area for 10 to 15 seconds, then move to a new location and do the same thing. Increase the massage level once the muscles are relaxed. The massager can be used while sitting, standing, or lying down. Once the massage session has finished, turn off the device and unplug it from the socket. Store it in a dry area.
What Massage Strength Is Most Ideal?
According to the manufacturer, there are three factors when deciding what massager should be used: the number of pulses per second, the depth of the stroke, and the weight of the device. People with lighter frames or sensitive muscles should use a massager with less weight and a smaller number of pulses per second, like the Thumper Single Sphere Massager. People who have bulky muscles or are serious athletes should choose a massager that is stronger and heavier, like the Thumper Maxi Pro Massager. The Thumper Sport Handheld Electric Massager is on the lighter end of the spectrum, being ideal for those with active lifestyles.
Thumper Massager Sport vs. Mini Pro
The Thumper Sport Percussive Massager is designed for home use and gives a lighter massage, whereas the Thumper Mini Pro Massager is for professional use and gives a full-strength massage. The Sport is also smaller than the Mini Pro, so the Sport is more ideal for smaller people. Both devices run at similar pulses per second.
When Not to Use
Avoid using a massager if dealing with a medical condition or experiencing pain. Some examples of conditions a massager should not be used with are:
- Uncontrolled high blood pressure
- Blood clots
- Arterial stents
- Kidney problems
- Unexplained calf pain
Do not use the massager on the neck. Massaging the neck may lead to dangerous side effects.
How to Maintain the Handheld Electric Massager
Avoid using the massager for longer than 20 minutes at a time. Allow time for the massager to cool down. Do not wrap the massager's cord around the massager's handle.
The massager can be cleaned with a damp cloth and gentle soap. If used over clothing, the massager will most likely not have to be cleaned too often.
