PolyMem WIC wound filler is a non-adhesive cavity wound dressing used as a primary filler for deep, tunneling, and cavity wounds. It helps cleanse the wound bed, manage exudate, and support a moist healing environment.
The dressing uses a hydrophilic polyurethane material with an integrated wound cleanser and moisturizer to pull fluid and dissolved debris away from the wound surface. The non-adherent surface supports more comfortable dressing changes, and silver versions add antimicrobial silver to protect the dressing from bacterial and fungal contamination while in place.

Wear time
Dressings may remain in place for up to seven days, depending on wound drainage and clinical direction. The dressing should be changed sooner if saturated or if leakage is observed.
Precautions and contraindications
Discontinue use if sensitivity or an allergic reaction occurs. Because these dressings can increase wound fluid removal, an absorbent secondary dressing is often needed to manage exudate.
