This pulse oximeter uses patented technology to provide safe and noninvasive readings with near-immediate results. The LED screen will flash green, yellow, or red depending on the pulse quality. If the reading provides a yellow or red light, a second attempt should be taken on another finger to get a better pulse signal. Nonin Onyx Pulse Oximeter can provide up to 6,000 spot checks or 36 hours of continuous operation before the two AAA batteries (included in the purchase) require changing.

Use and Care Instructions

Insert patient finger with the nail facing up.
Ensure the finger is lying flat and centered.
For best results, keep at patient's chest level.
If the device doesn't turn on, remove finger and wait a few seconds before retrying.
Allow the device four seconds to settle on results.
Green indicates a good pulse signal.
Yellow indicates a marginal pulse signal.
Red indicates an inadequate pulse signal.
To clean, wipe the surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with mild detergent.
Dry with a soft cloth or allow to air dry.
Ensure that all surfaces are completely dry before use.
