Elasto-Gel Hot Cold Packs, Wraps & Rolls

Elasto-Gel hot and cold therapy wraps and Elasto-Gel Ice Packs are manufactured by Southwest Technologies, are unique because they deliver Hot or Cold Therapy where you need it. Elasto-Gel is designed to work using hot/cold packs that insert into a universal wrap. To heat, microwave the heat packs for no more than 20 seconds at a time. Heat the hot/cold packs on both sizes to avoid hot spots. When reheating, use 10-second increments. For cold uses, freeze removable hot, cold packs for 2 hours.

Elasto-Gel wraps may be used for either hot or cold therapy. The wraps will not leak if accidentally punctured. Heated wraps provide moist therapy heat and when used cold, the wraps provide soothing cold therapy. Cold therapy with an Elasto-Gel wrap will not cause trauma to the skin or damage the nerves. When cold, the wraps remain soft and flexible even at -20F. The gel wraps will not dry out, become hard or change form. They are re-usable. They conform to all contoured areas of the body and all patient movements. Each wrap has a four-way stretch material that covers the gel material and allows maximum conformity, heat transfer and comfort.

Unlike many large, flat wraps, the elasto-gel products come in various shapes and sizes, so that you can have the benefits of Hot and Cold Therapy on the shoulders, neck, hands, and other oddly shaped areas of the body. This Hot and Cold Wrap will stay flexible when cold so that it conforms better to the natural body contours. The elasto-gel has a stretchable outer material so that it will fit more comfortably than other hot, cold wraps.

Elasto-Gel Therapy Wraps Instructions

1. COLD THERAPY:

Place the wrap in the freezer for a minimum of two (2) hours. The wraps may be left in the freezer indefinitely until ready to use. It will remain flexible even at -20 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove the wrap prior to defrosting the freezer.Note: Always store products in a plastic bag while in the freezer.

2. HEAT THERAPY:

Conventional Oven - The wraps may be heated in aconventional ovenfor 10 to 15 minutes at 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Place wrap on a cookie sheet or baking dish in the center of the oven. Ensure that the straps do not touch the heating element. Flip the wrap over after 6 minutes to distribute the heat evenly.

Microwave Oven - For microwave oven heating use the following time period to match your microwave capacity: 600-700 watt microwave:45-60 Seconds per side,1100 watt:45 Seconds per side.Note: all microwaves vary in heating and may have "hot spots". If you have a rotating disk, place the wrap in the center. Be cautious when heating.

After heating the wrap, wait one minute (60 seconds) before using. The wrap should feelWARMto the touch,NOT HOT. Hold the wrap firmly against the skin for 30 seconds beforere-heating. If the wrap is not warm enough, heat in20-second increments, rotating the product each time.

3. DO NOT GET THE WRAPS WET:

The gel material will absorb water and swell. If the product becomes damp, lay it on a flat surface and allow it to fully air dry before use. Do not use wet towels with the gel wraps.

4. CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:

Remove the outside cover and hand wash in cold water and mild soap. Hang to dry. Wipe the white inner cover with a damp (not wet) cloth using a mild soap or a disinfectant. Allow the product to fully air dry before use.
