The ARKRAY Assure Lance Lockout Safety Lancets are used by medical facilities and by nurses for the use of taking vitals and testing blood samples, usually for diabetes, blood sugars, or other quick tests. The safety lancets are set in different pre-measured needle gauge sizes and depth for the convenience of a single poke to draw blood on the initial try and reduce the need for secondary sticks.

The Assure Lance Needle Lancet conceals the needle until it is needed. The included safety cap has to be twisted off before the second step can take place. Then, the lancet is positioned to press against the fingertip and the button is pressed to activate the lancet. The needle will come out in a quick motion and puncture the skin at the preset depth of the lancet. The needle will retract automatically into the lancet to remove the risk of accidental sticks and the spread of diseases. After the lancet has been used to puncture, it can be discarded in a sharps container.

The use of the lancet is simple and safe for novice users. A steady hand is needed when using the lancet; luckily, the design itself has an extended finger flange to provide total control and grip the lancet in a steady and stable manner. Color-coded lancets help distinguish between the different options offered so there is no confusion and it's easy to pick at a glance.
