1610 Tegaderm IV 2 x 2-1/4 is a waterproof, transparent dressing that prevents "tenting" fo the dressing. This dressing also prevents sticking to itself like many other IV dressings. The 1610 dressing allows observation of the IV site and includes two sterile cloth tape strips for anchoring the catheter and infusion line. Designed with an oval shape, this I.V. dressing is manufactured by 3M. The dressing provides optimum security of the IV site, protecting the site from external contaminants. A deep notch is placed in the dressing to accommodate the catheter and hub to make application and retention easier and more comfortable for the patient. Positioning the dressing is easy with the frame style design and the transparent window. A recording label is located on the dressing, allowing documentation of dressing changes.
