Simpurity Alginate with Silver Overview

Simpurity Wound Dressing Alginate with Antimicrobial Silver uses natural fibers made with seaweed and a gel-like surface to manage exudate. Designed to keep a stable, moist environment, the alginate dressing promotes fast healing. According to WoundCare, the alginate dressing's calcium ions interact with sodium ions to create a gel, which also assists in healing highly exudating wounds. The wound dressing has silver particles incorporated into it to help prevent bacteria growth.

The Silver Alginate Wound Dressing with Seaweed comes in 2 x 2-inch pads, 4 x 5-inch pads, 8 x 8-inch pads, and 1 x 12-inch rope.
