The Posey Deluxe Podus Boot is a multi-purpose foot boot that helps in the healing and prevention of toe ulcers and protects against foot drop. This Therapy Boot also aids in the treatment of plantar flexion contracture, hip rotation, and decubitus heel ulcers.
Posey Deluxe Podus Boot has a large heel cavity that effectively isolates the heel and keeps it pressure-free. A polymer splint included with the boot can create flexion of the plantar up to 45 degrees. The Ankle Boot also has a detachable toe post that uses two mounting points to stay in place, and its anti-rotation bar locks in place or stores easily when not in use.
It also has an optional ambulation sole that attaches easily without the use of tools. Optional ankle straps and laundry bags are also available. Special Ortho-Wick liners inside the boot work to keep the wearer's skin dry. Boot liners are conveniently machine washable.
