Portex Decannulation Caps, by Smiths Medical, are accessories for tracheostomy tubes that are often needed for easing a patient off a ventilator. The Portex Decannulation Caps are simply placed over the end of Portex trach cannula so the flow of air out the tracheostomy tube will be blocked and the patient can take over and breathe unassisted. These small caps fit the standard 15mm ISO termination. These latex-free caps come 10 to a box or sold bought individually.
