The Jamar Plus+ Evaluation Kit provides equipment for evaluating hand metrics such as grip strength, pinch strength, and finger range of motion. The kit supports clinician-led assessment and progress monitoring, but measurements require appropriate testing technique and clinical interpretation.
The following instruments are included in the kit: Jamar Plus+ Digital Hand Dynamometer, Jamar Digital Pinch Gauge, and a 15 cm finger goniometer.
- The hand dynamometer digitally measures isometric grip force over a 0–200 pounds (0–90 kilograms) range. It has five handle positions to accommodate different hand sizes and standardized test setups. The dynamometer can calculate average, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation across repeated grip trials.
- The digital pinch gauge measures pinch strength. A digital LCD shows measurements in both pounds and kilograms.
- The finger goniometer measures finger-joint range of motion on a scale of 0 to 150 degrees.
