The PleurX Valve Cap (item #50-7235) is a sterile replacement cap used with PleurX drainage catheters. It covers the catheter valve to help reduce contamination risk when the catheter is not connected to a vacuum bottle or drainage line.
This cap supports routine pleural and peritoneal drainage care for patients using the PleurX Catheter System or PeritX Catheter System. It is used after fluid removal, during dressing changes, and while the external catheter is secured under clothing.
