MultiBoot Standard, manufactured by AliMed, is a contracture and wound care boot designed to relieve heel pressure and help protect against footdrop. The semi-flexible shell supports the lower leg and foot while allowing limited ambulation with the outsole in place, which can be useful for patients with lower extremity weakness.
The boot features a fully aerated heel area that suspends the heel and accommodates wound dressings. An integrated anti-rotation bar helps limit unwanted leg and hip rotation, and a toe plate keeps bedding away from the toes to reduce friction and pressure that may contribute to skin breakdown or contracture.
MultiBoot Standard is supplied with a removable liner that secures to the boot backbone and surrounds the foot in soft fleece. The standard liner supports everyday use, while the wider deluxe liner (medium and large sizes) offers additional padding for patients with fragile skin that is prone to bruising or tearing.
