Mucinex Fast-Max DM MAX is a maximum-strength OTC expectorant and cough-suppressant liquid medicine for helping loosen phlegm and temporarily relieve coughing. It contains guaifenesin 400 mg per 20 mL to thin bronchial secretions to make coughs more productive, as well as dextromethorphan HBr 20 mg per 20 mL to suppress the urge to cough.
It is recommended for adults and children aged 12 and up to take 20 mL of Mucinex Fast-Max DM MAX Liquid every 4 hours, not exceeding 6 doses in 24 hours. If the cough lasts more than 7 days, returns, or occurs with persistent fever, rash, or headache, consult a doctor.
Do not use if taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) or for 2 weeks after stopping it.

Directions
