Meridian Ultra Care Bariatric System Overview

Meridian Ultra Cure System has been designed for healthcare environments, and bariatric patients. This unit comes with the mattress, cover, and pump as an all-in-one package. If there is an emergency power outage the cell-on-cell design prevents the patient from sinking into the mattress otherwise known as "bottoming out". The cells have a quick-release design making cell replacement easy. This mattress provides support and comfort for people up to 1000 pounds, model number 4840-42 only has an 800 pound limit. The moisture resistant cover for this unit helps preserve and keep the unit clean, while also providing a soft cover for the patient. In addition to the Alternating Pressure mode, the Static mode provides support when needed, as well. The cells are specially designed for this unit. They are made with Stay-Flate technology which prevents patients form bottoming out, even when there is a power outage. Each cell is constructed out of nylon and polyurethane making it easy to clean and increases durability and reliability.

The 4253E Pump is a high-flow pump that has the flow rate of 16 liters per minute. This pump features a dual compressor increasing the weight capacity and comfort for the patient. This pump has automatic 10, 15, and 20 minute cycle times with five different pressure settings.

A zippered cover allows for easy interchanging of covers and cells. In case of accident, this cover is water resistant too.
