KetoCal 2.5:1 LQ uses a 2.5:1 fat-to-carbohydrate ratio, plus protein, to help with diet management for those with intractable epilepsy. Ideal for people over the age of 8, the supplemental nutrition drink for refractory epilepsy provides nutrients with blends of casein and whey protein and multi-fiber.

This drink contains medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), and zero trans fats. MCT Ketogenic diets, which are high in MCT fats, are widely used to help manage epilepsy in children. DHA is an Omega-3 fatty acid that is thought to be important for bran health. In studies, consumption of Omega-3s has been shown to potentially help control seizure frequency.

This supplemental nutrition drink should be refrigerated and used within 24 hours after opening.
