To replace the battery in the oximeter, remove the battery cover from the front of the unit with a flathead screwdriver, then take out the used cell and dispose of it according to local guidelines. Insert the new 3.6 volt lithium battery with the positive and negative ends aligned to the diagram inside the compartment, and snap the cover back into place to secure it.
