B. Braun Easypump Elastomeric Infusion Device LT/ST is designed to continuously deliver pre-determined volumes of medication to the infusion patient either in the hospital or in the comfort of their own home. This lightweight and easily portable infusion device uses positive pressure applied by the elastomeric membrane to deliver medication continuously and without complicated programming or rate changing. The B. Braun Elastomeric Pump features a transparent balloon construction to enable easier inspection for particulates and contains a patented "Sliding Core" that helps ensure that the pump reservoir is full and contracting in a consistent, concentric manner. The flow restrictor and positive pressure of the elastomeric membrane naturally determine the rate at which the medication flows from the pump. This works by delivering the solution against the back-pressure of the vascular access device and blood pressure in the vein. It also features an air-eliminating filter and a particulate filter for safe, clean infusion. The Easypump Infusion Device comes in a long-term delivery device (Easypump LT Elastomeric Pump) and a short-term delivery device (Easypump ST Elastomeric Pump) to meet the needs of the individual patient. This product comes in various flow rates, easily identified by color code.
