Curity 7831 Iodoform Gauze 1/4 in x 15 ft Packing Strips

Covidien 7831 Curity™ Iodoform 1/4 in. x 15 ft. Packing Strips by Covidien are sterile gauze strips designed for open wound healing, packing nasal cavity and wet-to-dry packing for deep or tunnel wounds. Not all wounds are sewn up due to lack of tissue or other factors. When the wound has to heal naturally from the inside out, packing it with sterile gauze not only protects the wound by creating filler, it also absorbs drainage and dead tissue.

Curity™, formerly Kendall, Iodoform is tightly woven into a fine mesh gauze to reduce the chance of the gauze sticking to the wound yet it's still porous to be absorbent. It's made of 100 percent cotton to be gentle to the skin with iodoform, a crystalline organic compound of iodine to add antiseptic properties. The gauze is packaged sterile in a bottle and are sold individually or in a case of 12 bottles.
