The Avanos Corflo Ultra Nasogastric/Nasointestinal Feeding Tube delivers liquid nutrition and fluids via the nasal passage for individuals who cannot eat normally due to a medical condition. A Nasogastric Feeding Tube routes through the nasal passage and passes the esophagus to access the stomach. The advantage of the Corflo Feeding Tube is its patented ULTRA anti-clog outlet port, which greatly reduces the chance of the tube clogging. The tube, with a smooth bolus, is made of polyurethane with a water-activated lubricant for patient comfort, which is helpful with long-term intubation. The length of the tube features marked inches and centimeters to assist with accurate intubation. Because Corflo NG Tubes are designed with ENFit connectors, they provide worry-free connections, and the clear connector housing allows for visual inspection if it needs to be cleaned.
Halyard Corflo Nasogastric Tube, now manufactured by Avanos, is available in a variety of French sizes in 36 or 43-inch tube lengths with an optional stylet. The Corflo Ultra is adult-weighted at 3 grams. Non-weighted Corflo Ultra Lite with a bowed tip bolus is also available.
