Biatain® Super Adhesive 46150 by Coloplast, formerly known as Alione®, is a 6 x 6 inch dressing to treat uninfected wounds with high amounts of exudate. Its hydrocapillary pad works well for wounds from surgical sites with low exudate to highly exuding wounds including diabetic foot ulcers, leg ulcers and pressure ulcers. It truly offers Super absorption by taking in exudate vertically and dispersing it throughout the pad horizontally. This prevents leakage, even when used under compression, and minimizes the risk of maceration. The dressing's management of exudate and bacteria creates an optimal moist wound environment for faster healing and greater patient confidence.

It also features a semi-permeable top film layer that is waterproof and bacteria proof giving the patient ability to shower freely with the wound protected. The semi-permeable top layer also contributes to exudate management and transfers vapor out as needed to maintain a moist wound environment.

Biatain® Super Adhesive dressing has an easy to peel backing with an adhesive with hydrocolloid ingredients to be gentle to the skin. This keeps the bandage in place and protected from outside contaminates resulting in longer wearing. The dressing can remain on the wound for up to seven days, depending on the amount of wound exudate.
