The Chattanooga I-Bresis System allows healthcare professionals to personalize iontophoresis medication delivery for their patients. This wireless system provides both mobility and flexibility for a time-saving treatment process. The system has three components: disposable patches; a rechargeable and optional Controller; and an optional Controller Charging Station. While the patches may be used on their own, the Controller enables two additional treatment modes with customizable currents: I-Bresis treatment and standard treatment. In I-Bresis mode, the device uses a three-minute Skin Conductivity Enhancement that reduces the skin's resistance, allowing medications to be fully absorbed. The patch then distributes positively or negatively charged water-soluble drugs through the skin.

Treatment Modes
I-Bresis Treatment: The I-Bresis Controller delivers a current of 3 mA to the I-Bresis Patch for three minutes during the Skin Conductivity Enhancement process. This is followed by the patient wearing the patch for one to two hours, resulting in a treatment of 4080 mA-minutes.
Standard Treatment: The I-Bresis Controller delivers a current of 2, 3, or 4 mA to the patch for 10 to 20 minutes, which results in a 40 mA-minute treatment. Repeat the same steps for an 80 mA-minute treatment.

What does the Controller do?
When the Controller is used in conjunction with the Patch (sold separately), it provides visual and audible indications of the treatment status and activates the I-Bresis and standard modes. Without the controller, administering medications can only be done in "patch-only mode." So, with the Controller, clinicians can select a customizable iontophoresis treatment plan for each patient.
What are the button functions on the Controller?
There are two basic buttons: the on/off switch and the start/pause button. The standard mode Button selects a standard treatment of 2, 3 or 4 mA per minute. The treatment selection can be changed while paused, during setup, or during the treatment.
Can the Patch be used without the Controller?
Yes, but the treatment cannot be customized without the Controller, and functions in patch-only mode.
