PRO to GO complete Discharge Kit for Patient
PRO to GO complete Discharge Kit for Patient PRO and PRO to go Interface

Description

The Cardinal Health NPWT PRO to GO Kit is designed to streamline the patient's transition from hospital care to home care for ongoing negative pressure wound therapy. The Pro to Go system looks and functions like the NPWT PRO but is designated for use after the patient transitions to their next care setting. Using this kit, the patient will have everything that is needed to administer 10 days of therapy. The PRO to GO NPWT Discharge Kit includes the device, compatible large foam dressings, canisters, and carry case. Check out the compatible Cardinal NPWT Dressings and Accessories page to order consumables and replacement products.

Negative Pressure Wound Therapy is used to remove excess fluid to promote faster wound healing. The physician will provide direction if the patient should use the continual or intermittent setting for controlled suctioning of the fluids. The system is used on a variety of wound types and is indicated for patients with chronic or acute wounds, partial-thickness burns, pressure and diabetic ulcers, and skin grafts.

The NPWT device is easy to operate due to its easy interface. It's also quiet while in operation, which is important since therapy is typically 22 hours a day. The PRO to Go device is also lightweight at 0.9 pounds for carrying when the patient needs to be mobile. There are a few steps to take to disconnect the tubing from the unit for bathing, showering, or performing other activities for a short period of time. It is important to note that if therapy is stopped for more than two hours within the 24-hour therapy, the foam dressing may need to be changed. The patient needs to consult with their doctor to determine when dressings are removed or replaced.
