BSN Medical CompriFoam® 7529400 is an open cell foam bandage that creates padding prior to compression bandage application. Compression therapy is used for individuals with lymphedema, venous insufficiency and edema. It's also used to pad the limb before a plaster or synthetic cast is applied to the limb to repair a broken bone.
The foam measures 2.7 yards and is 4 inches wide to wrap a limb and evenly distribute pressure to prevent constriction. It's also easy to apply since polyurethane foam creates a non-slip texture that anatomically conforms to the limb. The open cell construction means it's breathable and is both air and moisture permeable to keep skin comfortable during treatment. Foam is made without natural latex. Adding CompriFoam before compression bandages protects the skin of individuals with a latex allergy.
CompriFoam is reusable and can be steamed to sterilize bandage if needed.
